High-current fuses from Walter

Reliable protection for high currents

Where currents in the range of several hundred amperes must be reliably protected, special high-current fuses are used. They ensure safety and stability in demanding applications, ranging from photovoltaic systems to data centers.

Technical performance and certified quality

The various fuse types cover operating voltages of up to 500V DC and are designed for currents of up to 630A. All required certifications and approvals are, of course, available. Particularly noteworthy are the fuses compliant with the BS88 standard, which operate reliably even under extreme conditions:

  • Current ratings: up to 630A
  • Voltage: up to 500V DC
  • Operating temperature: –55°C to +125°C

Typical application areas

  • Photovoltaics – protection of strings and battery storage systems
  • Data centers – protection of critical infrastructure with high current loads
  • Industrial systems & e-mobility – reliable operation under high stress

Conclusion

With Walter’s power fuses, especially the BS88-compliant series, users benefit from a powerful and certified solution for high-current applications – compact, reliable, and versatile.
