The new Single-stage PFC Buck Current Control LED Driver with Integrated High Voltage MOSFET

The new TS19721A/D is a very efficient constant current controller for
driving LED lamps in non-dimmable lighting applications.

The IC provides a high power factor correction (PFC) capability and constant current accuracy using boundary conduction mode (BCM) operation in a single stage buck topology.

The TS19721A/D controller is easy to integrate with a small BOM and includes an internal high voltage power MOSFET for PWM control. Total harmonic distortion (THD) and efficiency are optimized simply with an external resistor.

The line and load regulation of LED current are easily maintained to within ±2.5%. The TS19721A/D also provides VCC over-voltage protection, and system output open/short circuit protection to increase IC performance.

Whereas TS19721A is intended for applications of over 18W, the TS19721D (soon to be released) is targeted for less than 18W applications.
