Large-sized ePaper displays in full color and gray scales

For many years we have been hearing from our customers that the gap between the sizes 13.3” and 31.2" in the range of ePaper displays is too big. Finally this time is over.

We are happy to present two new sizes of EPDs:  25,3"  and 26,6".
To imagine the dimensions better, let we say that the display formats are between DIN A3 and DIN A2. The further difference between the panels is the aspect ratio. The 16:9 format is well known from TFT applications and is used for 25.3". The panel 26.6” is planned with 4:3. In addition, the size 25.3" is presented in two technologies: as a full-color E Ink Gallery™ (ACeP) panel and in monochrome version with 16 gray levels.

All three displays will be with high resolution and get the Mini LVDS interface. Its features are high bandwidths with reduced noise levels, low power consumption and good EMC behavior. To drive the display a TCON-board with IC T1000 is developed by E Ink. The driving board will be offered together with the panel.

The products are currently at the sampling stage and first engineering samples including driving boards should be available closer to the end of the year 2020.
