E Ink has introduced the Kaleido™ 3 Outdoor, a color e-paper display capable of showing up to 4,096 colors. Designed to withstand extreme conditions, the display operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -15°C to 65°C, eliminating the need for costly, energy-intensive heating or cooling systems. It makes the EPD to an energy-efficient solution for both cold and hot outdoor applications.
The Kaleido™ 3 Outdoor supports dynamic color updates, with refresh times under one second and partial update capabilities. It allows fast, poster-quality content updates, providing an eco-friendly, low-carbon alternative to traditional digital signage.

With many European countries implementing restrictions on digital signage due to energy concerns, the Kaleido™ 3 Outdoor stands out for its minimal power consumption. It can even be powered by renewable energy sources such as solar panels, making it independent of the electrical grid.
The largest version of the Kaleido™ 3 Outdoor display measures an impressive 75 inches diagonally and features a high resolution of 5120×2880 pixels, ensuring maximum visibility and attention-grabbing impact.
Potential Applications Include:
Transportation signage
Retail displays
Public information boards
Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising
