MLCC Keramikkondensatoren
Produktübersicht
Ein MLCC (multilayer ceramic chip capacitor) oder auch Vielschicht-Keramikkondensator genannt, ist ein elektrischer Kondensator mit einem keramischen Dielektrikum. Im Aufbau entsprechen MLCCs den normalen Keramikkondensatoren.
Als SMD-Chip wird ein MLCC direkt für die On-Board Bestückung verwendet. Dabei ist die Platzersparnis und niedrige Bauhöhe von Vorteil. Zur Auswahl dient die Einteilung der MLCC-Kondensatoren in die EIA-Klassen. Im Gegensatz zu normalen Keramikkondensatoren liegen die Kapazitätsbereich im Nano- und bis hinauf zu mehreren hundert Mikrofarad (µF).
Darüber hinaus sind MLCCs ungepolt, besitzen also keine ausgewiesene Anode und Kathode, so wie es bei Elektrolyt- oder Tantalkondensatoren der Fall ist. Sie zeichnen sie sich durch geringere elektrische Verluste aus, haben eine kleinere Impedanz, sehr kleine ESR-Werte für den Ersatzserienwiderstand und eine hohe Zuverlässigkeit.
