Lextar VCSEL
Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (kurz: VCSEL) sind Laser Dioden, deren Resonator vertikal ausgerichtet ist und das Licht nach oben abstrahlen. Charakteristisch sind die schmale spektrale Bandbreite von typisch <2nm, die hohe Temperaturstabilität der Wellenlänge sowie die extrem schnellen Anstiegs- und Fallzeiten von typischerweise <1ns. VCSEL können mit sehr hohen Frequenzen (100MHz oder mehr) moduliert werden.
Die VCSEL des Herstellers Lextar sind mit Diffusor Linse und optional mit integrierter Photo Diode (Typ PV85) ausgestattet. Die qualitativ hochwertigen Linsen sorgen für eine gleichmäßige Ausleuchtung innerhalb des FOV (Field of View), welches aktuell zwischen 50x40 Grad bis 120x90 Grad rangiert, und machen diese VCSEL prädestiniert für Anwendungen in 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) Kameras wie z.B. für Personenerkennung, Gestensteuerung, Fahrerüberwachung oder Machine Vision Systeme. Sie eignen sich aber auch für andere Anwendungen wie z.B. als IR Lichtquelle für Überwachungskameras, Nachtsichtgeräte oder optische Datenübertragung.
AEC-Q102 zertifizierte Versionen sind verfügbar (PV85Q, PV88Q).
